8. Los Angeles.
Pete and his band goes to Los Angeles for a record deal. they audition for a record deal. However, Pete and Kevin (the drummer) didn't get one and only the leader and the lead guitarists receives a record deal. Pete was frustrated about the fact that they rejected him only because of his young age. However, Kevin, gets really angry and loses control and starts crying and breaking things up.
Later Pete and Kevin return to portland without any record deal. Pete just faces the truth and gets over it and decides that he should start his own band. He realizes that all these experience he went through was an extraordinary event and felt that even though he didnt succeed at the end, because of all the great experience he went through, he thought it was worth it.
At the end, Pete decides to go out with Margaret again and lives a happy life.

Pete breaks up with margaret and goes out with a popular girl in his school. Her name is Allison. He also devotes his whole life toward music and the Tiny Masters. They get a record deal for 4 weeks at portland and start becoming famous. Later they get a call from LA, for a tryout for a record deal. However, before they go, Pete breaks up with Allison because Allison gets angry at Pete for leaving her. Also, Pete cant get over Margaret and gets jealous about the fact that she has a boyfriend.
However, the biggest thing Pete's mind is going to LA and getting a record deal.

As the Tiny Masters grow in popularity, they get busier and busier as well. they go to Seattle to get a record deal and this experience influence Pete heavily. He gets to meet all the other music artists and bands and hads a great time. He, himself says in the book that he wouldnt want any other life than the one he is currently living in. He is satified with his life.
he meets this girl when he was getting ready to play in a gig. He saw her play and it reminded him of his mum. This is when he started to become fond of her. And their relationship becomes closer than he expects it to become but at the end he was able to control himself.
He arrives back and Margret tells him that she wants to break up with him.

The Tiny Masters started to become really famous. They have planned a lot of gigs to perform and basically Pete, is always playing with the Tiny Masters on the weekends. Therefore, he doesnt get to spend as much time with Margret. These incidents make the relationship between Pete and Margret's relationship to slowly fall apart again. Also, Margret's parent disagree with their relationship because Margret's grades are dropping and they are greatly concerned with her future.

Pete ( the main character ) fights with one of the guitarists in Tiny Masters because he realizes that they will kick him out when his friend returns from california to play bass instead of him. So he leaves the Tiny Masters and decides to join Mad Skillz again. Also another bad happening occurs to him. Margret's parents realize that they had sex and doesnt want them to hang around anymore. therefore, the relationship between Pete and Margret starts to fall apart. However, they get back together at a party and in addition the guitarist apologizes to Pete that he was sorry and asks him to join the Tiny Masters again. And he happily accepts.

3. The Tiny Masters of Today
The Tiny Masters of Today has a gig and it suprising goes really well. One of the guitarist in the band goes crazy and loses his mind and starts playing really fast and randomly. The main character and the drummer also decides to keep up with his crazy playing because they didnt know what to do. However, suprisingly, everyone enjoyed it and there were even newspaper articles about their gig.
While the main character's father goes away due to his uncle's sickness, the main character decides to go through his mother's personal stuff. He lost his mum when he was young and when he started playing his mother's songs, he wanted more but he couldn't find any.

2. Jazz Band
The Jazz Band that the main character is in goes to Pendleton. They lose but Kevin and the main character gets to know a lot of people through the trip. After the trip, Mad Skillz falls apart due to a fight and Kevin asks the main character to join his band. First, he doesnt lyk their group because they aren't true musicians. He thought that they only did it for the girls. Also, he thought that their music was really bad because it only had one chord. Due to this he declines the requets from Kevin to join his group. Also, through this incident, the main character fights with his girlfriend because she thought that Kevin's band sounded good. However, as they apologize to each other, the main character decides to join Kevin's band and starts to enjoy and like the new type of music that they play. They named their band The Tiny Masters of Today. In addition, as time goes by the main character and his girlfirnd Margaret gets into a closer and closer relationship.

1. Mad Skillz
Mad Skillz is a band that consists of: Eric (vocal), Todd (lead guiarist), Daniel (drummer) and the main character (bass). They got picked to play at Spring Dance. Due to this event Eric suggested an opinion that they should look different and wear red Converse high-tops and they decided to get them.
There was a girl called Margaret Little who wrote poems and had a 'punk librarian look' and got bullied at school. she always wore black and red Converse high-tops. So, the main character had no choice but of asking her where she bought them. This incident was the start of their relationship. After shopping, they decided to go watch a movie and they made out and as time passed they liked each other and decided to go out with each other.

Characteristics
There was a guy with a smile across his face holding his girlfriend's hand. They decided to go to the movies and see a horror movie. As soon as the movie finished, they went to a restaurant to eat dinner. As the girlfriend was eating cake for dessert she felt something hard getting chewed. She spat it out to see what was wrong with the cake, but as she wiped off the cream, her jaws dropped. It was a ring and suddenly, her boyfriend bent down on his knees and asked her, "Would you marry me?"
